National Editors Conferences

Every two years, the Institute of Professional Editors (IPEd) supports national conferences for editors. Each conference is hosted and organised in turn by one of the state/territory societies of editors.

The 1st national editors conference was held in Brisbane in 2003.

In 2005, the Society of Editors (Victoria) hosted the 2nd national editors conference, Editing in Context.

The Tasmanian Society of Editors hosted the next conference, From Inspiration to Publication, in 2007.

The 4th conference, Getting the Message Across, is due to be hosted by the South Australian Society of Editors, 8-10 October 2009. Please check the conference website regularly for updates.
The Society of Editors (Victoria) Inc. is an association for people who are engaged professionally in editing for publication.
