ProgramConference themeThe conference theme, Editing in Context, focused on editing as a profession and explored issues such as the perception of editors, our workplaces, how we promote ourselves, keeping up-to-date, standards, mentoring, networking, financial and legal issues, and our health and wellbeing. The three sub-themes addressed were:
Conference programThe three-day program provided an exciting mix of keynote plenaries to kickstart the big ideas, concurrent presentations addressing our professional issues, workshops, field trips, a trade fair and even relaxation sessions! We will launched the 35th anniversary anthology of articles from the Newsletter of the Victorian Society of Editors, At the Typeface. A detailed conference program with links to abstracts for each theme (Transition, Consolidation, Collaboration) is available on this website. Conference proceedingsThe conference proceedings are currently being collated. All presenters are being requested to submit their papers using the official template. Once all the papers have been submitted, they will be burned onto CD and mailed to all registrants. CDs are also available for purchase (A$15) by non-registrants, and a selection of papers will also be available on this website.
